A pianist with a crystalline touch," Armen Donelian has played with many jazz legends including Sonny Rollins, Chet Baker, Paquito D'Rivera, Mongo Santamaria and Billy Harper. A Fulbright Senior Scholar, Donelian has received six Jazz Performance Fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, and mesmerized audiences In 22 countries throughout the Americas, Europe, Asia, the Middle and Far East. The critics say Donelian provides a constant stream of ideas and beauty that is hard to deny." and His melodies emerge from the keyboard as if magically summoned, and his harmonies and multiple reharmonizations are full of profound depth and insight." A composer of more than 90 works, Donelian has produced ten critically acclaimed recordings for the Sunnyside, Playscape, Odin and Atlas labels. His most recent CD release, All Or Nothing At All (Sunnyside), is a live concert with the outstanding Dutch saxophonist, Marc Mommaas. For his October 13th concert, Donelian will be performing with bassist David Clark and drummer George Schuller.
Drummer/Composer Jeff Siege" Siegel is a veteran of the New York jazz scene and has worked with a virtual who's who" of artists. A member of the Sir Roland Hanna Trio from 1994-99, Siegel's diverse career has also led him to collaborations with legends Ron Carter, Kenny Burrell, Jack DeJohnette, Benny Golson, Frank Foster, Sheila Jordan, Helen Merrill, and Mose Allison. Siegel's new CD Magical Spaces on the CAP record label has received much critical acclaim being called the kind of CD that you want to listen to over and over." The Jeff Siege" Siegel Quartet is also the recent winner of the Honorable Mention" award in the 2005 International Songwriting Competition's Performance category for the song Rag Tag." Siegel will be bringing a high energy group to Adam'Space, featuring virtuoso musicians Erica Lindsay on tenor saxophone, Francesca Tanksley on piano, and Danton Boller on acoustic bass. Expect exhilarating, exciting music.
