Bi- Coastal jazz/funk 4tet Magnets! will do a Residency at Reed College in Portland, Oregon this month.
Magnets! , which is a co-op group featuring saxophonist Rob Scheps, drummer Ronnie Burrage and bassist Kim Clarke , will teach afternoon workshops on January 19,20 & 21 in the Prexy Music Building at Reed - students will have the opportunity to learn Magnets! original compositions from the composers themselves. The Residency will culminate in a concert Saturday night, January 22nd at 9 pm at Reed.Special guest guitarist Tod Carver, recently back stateside after 7 years living in Japan, will join the group.
