Jazz Drummer Kalil Madi Dead: December 13, 1921 to May 20th 2007

Jazz drummer Kalil Madi died on May 20th, 2007 from an undisclosed illness. His career stretches over 3 decades. He played with Eddie and Vickie Barnes and many others. In recent years he was a fixture at the University of the Streets on E. 7th Street in NYC. There will be a memorial for Kalil Madi on Sunday, July 8th, 2007 at 7:30 P.M. at Saint Peters Church which is located in New York City 54th Street between Lexington and 3rd Avenues.

A memorial fund also has been set up for Kalil Madi.
