A new global event focused on the business, culture, and innovation of jazz will make its debut this fall. Jazz-Con 2025, launching September 15–16, 2025, will present a fully virtual two-day conference featuring international voices from across the jazz spectrum.

Presented by the Dallas/Fort Worth-based nonprofit JazzMetroplex and New York’s forward-thinking Nu Jazz Agency, Jazz-Con offers a fresh platform for artists, educators, and professionals navigating the evolving realities of the modern jazz economy.

Programming will be delivered in English, Spanish, and Japanese, with live translation available in more than 10 languages, underscoring the conference’s global scope and accessibility.

Panels, Perspectives & Post-Session Performance

Jazz-Con 2025 will feature a wide array of artist-focused panels, industry round-tables, and media sessions, tackling topics such as:

  • Streaming and royalties
  • Metadata and music discovery
  • Touring and DIY economics
  • Playlisting and digital strategy
  • Global market insights, including spotlights on Japan and Latin America
  • AI, investment, and the future of artist empowerment
Each day concludes with The Jazz-Con Festival: After Party, a curated two-hour celebration of music and visuals featuring pre-recorded artist showcases, collaborative works, and surprise creative interludes from the international jazz community.

A New Platform for Jazz Culture and Commerce

In creating Jazz-Con, organizers aim to fill a critical gap in the jazz ecosystem: a convening space where tradition meets technology, and artistry intersects with infrastructure. “Jazz-Con is about building bridges between what jazz has always been—and where it’s boldly going next,” says Jerald Miller, Executive Director of JazzMetroplex. “We’re honored to launch an event that amplifies global voices and real-world solutions for the music we love.”
