Jazz for Justice: Annual Benefit for Legal Services NYC with Special Performance by DAVE DOUGLAS & BRASS ECSTASY

On June 15th, Legal Services NYC will hold its annual Jazz for Justice benefit to celebrate its 42nd year helping improve the lives of thousands of low-income New Yorkers.

The Annual Benefit, which draws some 400 attendees from New York City's leading law firms and corporations, will be held at the Allen Room at Frederick P. Rose Hall, Home of Jazz at Lincoln Center.

Jazz for Justice will honor three Visionary Leaders for providing crucial help to New Yorkers at a time of economic crisis and soaring demand for legal services: Goldman Sachs Gives, The New York Community Trust, and The New York Times Neediest Cases Fund. Legal Services NYC Staff will be awarded the Advocates of Justice Award.

The celebratory evening will also feature a special performance by the two-time Grammy-nominated trumpeter/composer Dave Douglas with his ensemble Brass Ecstasy. Internationally recognized as one of today's most prolific trumpeters, Dave Douglas ranks amongst the top contemporary masters in American music. Dave Douglas & Brass Ecstasy will release their debut recording, Spirit Moves, on Greenleaf Music with record release shows at Jazz Standard, June 18-21.
