Jay Soto Kicks Off the 1st Annual "Night of Jazz and Fashion by the Sea Benefit Concert" for Children with HIV/Aids and Pediatric Aids Research

Nu Groove Records Jazz recording artist Jay Soto will help kick off the first annual “Night of Jazz and Fashion by the Sea Benefit Concert" for children with HIV/AIDS and Pediatric AIDS Research.

Jay Soto is a guitarist, songwriter, engineer and producer whose first single, Slammin', became a smash hit and reached #2 on the coveted, national R&R charts. His next single, Stay A While, is currently rising up the charts. Soto is currently working on his next album which will feature more of Jay's abilities as a musician including vocals as well as his notable guitar playing.

Jay Soto's latest performance brought everyone to their feet at the Hyatt Regency New Port Jazz Festival on May 18, 2008 and left them wanting more. This emerging artist is definitely making his mark in the smooth jazz scene! Visit Jay's website at http://www.jaysoto.com.

This first Jazz Concert hosted by The HUSH Foundation is scheduled on August 30, 2008, at the Beautiful Hermosa Beach Community Theater, in Hermosa Beach, CA. This smooth-Jazz themed Benefit Concert will feature an exquisite, high fashion runway show highlighting designer apparel, and a fabulous tribute to six (6) legendary female jazz artists: Lena Horne, Della Reese, and Miss Nancy Wilson, and in the memory of Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, and Sarah Vaughn.



There will also be guest appearances of some of the biggest stars in show business supporting The HUSH Foundation in the fight against HIV/AIDS such as Kellita Smith (Bernie Mac Show), Khandi Alexander (CSI Miami), Dsean Terry (States of Grace), Parker Delon (TMZ), and more.



The “Night of Jazz and Fashion by the Sea Benefit Concert" will begin with a pre-show red carpet ceremony/meet-and- greet mixer from 4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.; with the concert beginning at 7:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.

Proceeds from this event will benefit One Heartland, to support Camp Heartland programs and services that help children with HIV/AIDS pay for treatment, hospital and medical bills, prescriptions, and Children's Hospital of Philadelphia Center for Pediatric and Adolescent AIDS to support Pediatric HIV/AIDS Research.

The HUSH Foundation, is a 501(c) (3) grass roots non-profit organization, whose programs are designed to conduct infectious disease prevention and education campaigns, fundraising and awareness-raising events, develop social and home-based care and treatment initiatives, provide counseling services and outreach schemes for children who are underserved, orphaned, and in homeless communities, provide grants to programs that support children with infectious and disabling diseases, support children's educational needs, and support Pediatric HIV/AIDS Research.
