Live and Jazzin' It Up leads off with a phenomenal concert rendition of the Bob James classic “West Chester Lady." Jamset makes the song its own with funky rhythms and one can feel the crowd vibing on Jamset's live performance. Another highlight is the song “Taxes (American Love Affair)" which is graced by the amazing voice of Ms. Jaz, a stellar jazz/soul singer on the DMar Entertainment label. The CD concludes with “Mikey's Song" which features a smooth jazz feel and hip-hop elements.

Jamset consists of Kerry “Smurf" Jordan on Bass, Omar Kemet on Keyboards, Sheila “Ms. Jaz" Jordan on Percussion/Vocals and Warren Miller on Drums/Percussion. Several of the members are session and touring musicians who have played and opened for acts such as Roy Ayers, Phil Perry, Ronnie Laws, Pieces Of A Dream, Regina Belle and most recently, Pam “Saxtress" Williams. Kerry “Smurf" Jordan also played bass in Millie Jackson's “Facts of Life" band.
