We note with sadness the passing of painter and Loft Jazz impresario, David X. Young (1930 - 2001), who died this past Tuesday at St. Vincent's hospital in New York City. I had the privilege of working with him in the final year of his life helping to produce his Jazz Loft book and 2 CD Set. His indomitable spirit will be missed.
