Firehouse 12 to Present the Taylor Ho Bynum Trio April 20th

On Friday, April 20th, New York-based cornetist/composer Taylor Ho Bynum will perform at New Haven's Firehouse 12 with his trio featuring guitarist Mary Halvorson and drummer Tomas Fujiwara. Bynum, a co-founder of Firehouse 12's new record label, Firehouse 12 Records, is touring the Midwest and East Coast in April in support of his two new CDs, True Events (482 Music) and The Middle Picture (Firehouse 12 Records).

Brubeck Institute Names New Director

Stockton, CA - A new director for the Brubeck Institute was appointed by University officials, it was announced today. Stephen Anderson, currently dean of Pacific's Conservatory of Music, will take over as the full-time director of the Institute. He was selected from several candidates identified through a national search.
