Memphis-Bound Get-Down Blues Show Comes to Columbus

Special blues event features the band and solo winners of the 2009 River City Ohio Blues Competition.

On Saturday, March 28, Award-winning Columbus act Long Tall Deb and the Drifter Kings will team up with Detroits celebrated musician Paul Miles for a special blues presentation at the Thirsty Ear Tavern in Columbus, Ohio, from 9:30pm- 1am.

SAN FRANCISCO — Google’s YouTube and the Universal Music Group, the world’s largest music label, are in advanced discussions over a licensing agreement that could lead to the creation of a premium site for music videos, according a person briefed on the talks.

Sydney Chaplin Stage Actor and Son of Charlie Chaplin Dies

Sydney Chaplin, an actor who experienced his greatest success on stage, earning a Tony Award for starring in the late 1950s musical “Bells Are Ringing," died Tuesday. He was 82.

Chaplin, the oldest surviving child of film legend Charlie Chaplin, died at his Rancho Mirage home of complications following a stroke, said Jerry Bodie, a longtime friend.
