Google Web Search Partially Blocked in China

Google Inc. confirmed Wednesday that a search engine feature had been partially blocked in China on the same day that its license to offer Internet services there was due to expire.
At issue is the suggest tool, which automatically recommends search queries based on the first few letters a user types. Suggestion technologies are popular in China. Amazon Lures Authors with 70% Royalty Deal, and HTML5

When money talks, people tend to listen. In a bid to lure authors, Amazon.com on Wednesday said it would give writers 70% of the revenue, minus expenses, from their digital books sales on Amazon's Kindle store.
In addition, Amazon said it is giving authors the ability to sell their Kindle digital books on their own websites, using an Internet standard called HMTL5.

Adding some swashbuckling to its tough talk on fighting piracy, the federal government Wednesday seized several websites that were offering downloads of pirated movies such as Toy Story 3" and Iron Man 2" within hours of their release in theaters.
