In honor of National Women's History Month, Riverwalk Jazz this week presents a salute to the International Sweethearts of Rhythm, the first racially-integrated “all-girl" jazz band in the country, featuring interviews with two surviving members of the band—trombonist Helen Jones Wood; and alto saxophonist Roz Cron. This couldn't have come at a worse time, though National Public Radio (NPR) CEO and president Vivian Schiller is now resigning following a bizarre sting operation.
