This just in: The POP UP project, co-curated by local artists Kate King and Sam Davis, is looking for musicians to participate in an “Experimental Music Jam" starting at 6:30 p.m. this Friday, June 22 at 7411 S. Broadway in the Carondelet neighborhood. To the consternation of loyal listeners, WGBH-FM (89.7) is dropping jazz programming on weeknights, moving longtime host Eric Jackson to weekend duties only, and eliminating Steve Schwartz’s Friday show.
