Huntington Hartford II, heir to the A&P supermarket fortune whose quest to be taken seriously as a patron of the arts led him to bankroll a series of movies, plays, galleries and publications that ultimately drained his wealth, died Monday at Lyford Cay in the Bahamas at the age of 97.

Lola Montes, One of the country's most renowned Spanish dancers, frequent Southland performer over a career of more than 70 years, has died at the age of 90.
Montes died at her home in Laguna Woods on Friday of complications from pneumonia, Oscar Nieto, a lead dancer with her company, said.

John Rutsey, a founding member of the seminal Canadian rock band Rush, has died, his family announced. He was 55. Rutsey played drums with Rush from 1968 to 1974, as well as on the band's eponymous debut album, but departed soon afterwards, apparently due to a lifelong illness stemming from diabetes.
