BOSTON, December 18, 2003 -- Berklee College of Music President Lee Eliot Berk will receive the International Association for Jazz Education's Humanitarian Award on Thursday, January 22, 2004, at the organization's 31st Annual Conference in New York City. The IAJE conference, which runs from January 21 through 24, will attract over 7,000 jazz educators, musicians, and enthusiasts from over 35 countries.

Billboard and the Berklee College of Music have partnered in an online career center for music industry professionals and musicians. Located on the BerkleeMusic.com Web site, the co-branded venture offers job listings and career resources specifically tailored to music-related vocations.

ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y.-The William Parker Quintet, “Raining on the Moon," will perform at Bard College on Saturday, December 6. The performance, titled “Winter Ritual," is presented by Jazz at Bard and will begin at 8:00 p.m. in the Bertelsmann Campus Center's multipurpose room. Admission is $15, free for Bard students.
