Jerry Weintraub the Go-to Guy to Get Connected

Jerry Weintraub the Go-to Guy to Get Connected

Source: Michael Ricci

Jerry Weintraub worked with Elvis and Sinatra. He headed a studio. And now he's written a memoir that's also how-to guide.

“Look at me, do I look like an alter kocker?" Jerry Weintraub asks. Verily, he does not. At the moment, he looks like a guy ready to swing a golf club at a visitor for asking him if he feels like -- to offer a rough translation from the Yiddish -- an old fart. At 72, Jerry Weintraub is ...

And as the warmer weather approaches, that means more leaves on the trees. Novelist Betty Smith said that a tree grows in Brooklyn. In this issue we have the mini-followup: A ...

His own book can be taken as Exhibit A in what he calls recombinant or appropriation art. Mr. Shields's book consists of 618 ...
