CHARITY POURING IN FOR VICTIMS
September 2, 2005 -- With the heartbreaking images of Hurricane Katrina victims overwhelming the country, celebrities, institutions and ordinary New Yorkers are opening their bank accounts to do whatever they can to send some relief.

What a wonderful get together at HMV downtown Toronto today as Oscar Peterson celebrated his 80th birthday with the unveiling of a commerative stamp and impromptu concert from Diana Krall. Krall performed and Oscar Peterson original with lyrics by Elvis Costello. Krall was nervous near tears in her ode to Oscar.
