Jazz Arts Group Awarded $200,000 Grant by the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation

Columbus, OH - The Doris Duke Charitable Foundation (DDCF) has awarded a $200,000 grant to the Jazz Arts Group of Columbus (JAG) to create a national model for building jazz and music audiences, entitled the Jazz Audiences Initiative. The 21-month project, which spans November 1, 2009 through July 31, 2011, will enable the Jazz Arts Group to research and test new strategies for overcoming barriers to jazz participation and for building jazz audiences through more targeted marketing and programming efforts. ...

Application Deadline: January 11, 2010 (postmark date)
I-Park announces its tenth season hosting The Artists' Enclave. Self-directed artists' residencies will be offered from May through November 2010, with possible off-season sessions in April and December. Most sessions are four weeks in duration. Residencies will be offered to visual (including digital) artists, music composers, environmental artists, landscape and garden designers, creative writers and architects. Work samples are evaluated through a competitive, juried process.

Grammy winning guitarist Earl Klugh received a Proclamation and Key to the City from Mayor Paul A. Dyster of Niagara Falls at the Seneca Niagara Casino during Earl Klugh's performance on October 15th.
