Special Focus Session: New Visions for New Times will share, through the eyes of current IAJE leaders in their field, how the future of JAZZ may affect all of us. Our dynamic speakers will give their vision of the future of the music and challenge you to get the most out of the conference. You will have a chance to participate in the visioning discussion, network with others sharing similar interests, and connect with the foremost authorities. We will provide the tools to help you take advantage of the vast opportunities at hand - both during the conference and beyond. As an educator, student, artist or business person, in order to succeed, we need to work towards a shared vision for the future of jazz. Presenters: Frank Catalano, Dave Liebman, Bruce Lundvall, and more. Facilitators: Marco Pignataro, Ron Carter, Laura Johnson, Ian Darrington, Darius Brubeck, Lou Fischer, Paul Read, Brian Coyle, Saul Richardson. Location: Room 201 - MTCC (until 4:00 PM).
