BROOKLYN, NY - With roots in California, NY's Highlife celebrates their debut CD release at Bar4 in Park Slope Brooklyn

Their Debut record (Crowart Records) was recorded and produced at Sound Farm in Vallejo California by Doug Chancellor and was produced by Rick Montgomery in July 2006. Crowart Records was founded by New York Times Best-Selling author John Lescroart. The album consists of 9 originals composed by all of the members of the band.

Heath Walton's Highlife straddles Jazz, Rock, R&B and their unique compositions serve a base for dynamic improvisation. Owing vibe to Northern California (where 3/5's of the band is from), the band prides itself on having and providing a good time through its virtuosic performances. Come join the party.

The BAND:
HEATH WALTON - tenor saxophone
BRIAN SCHERMAN - alto saxophone
JOE YOUNG - electric guitar
JOSH MYERS - electric bass
JAMES WINDSOR-WELLS - drums

Outside Highlife the band members are active with musicians like: Gerald Cleaver, Shane Endsley, Ralph Alessi, and although all of the members are composers for Highlife the band still brings one unified sound.

Since their formation, Highlife has performed throughout New York and California, and will be releasing their debut CD at Bar4, 444 7th Avenue in Park Slope, Brooklyn, on Oct 15th at 7pm.
