Herman Leonard Funeral / Wake / Memorial Services Update: Jazz Scene Photographer Dies at 87

Herman Leonard the jazz scene American photographer has passed away at age 87 years on August 14th, 2010...noted for his great and iconic photographic images of jazz artists beginning with his arrival on the New York jazz scene in 1948-49. He was the first photographer to ever receive a Grammy Foundation Grant (given to him in 2008) which allowed the preservation and digitizing of Leonard's nearly 60,000 negatives that had been saved from the flooding due to the Katrina hurricane disaster.
