Heard in the scene is the amazing debut of jazz singer Heleen van den Hombergh with Tony Overwater (double bass), Bert van den Brink (piano& keyboards), and Joshua Samson (percussion) - released this month by Munich Records, (BMCD 336). Piano miracle Bert van den Brink worked with Dee Dee Bridgewater, Toots Thielemans, Chet baker and others. Tony Overwater has won several prizes for his remarkable music and special international projects.

Bert van den Brink heard Heleen's voice and spoke of love on first hearing. Having performed and recorded with many vocalists before he was struck by Heleens natural talent: Pure beauty without mannerism...what a joy!!.

Accurate, crystal clear, daring and...warm Heleen van den Hombergh sings her own way through a diverse repertoire....This is not a searching debut but a solid-style, well thought-out statement (Jazz Critic Imme Schade van Westrum).
