SIRIUS' Jam_ON, the channel devoted to jam band music, will welcome former Phish bass player Mike Gordon as a guest DJ on Monday, August 25 from 6:00 a.m. - 12:00 a.m. ET.
Gordon will personally introduce some of his favorite songs, including songs he has covered, Phish originals, as well as some never-before heard demos and jam sessions.
The special will include a phone interview with Mike's mother, excerpts from his “Dream Journal" and several stories from his book, Mike's Corner.
SIRIUS listeners will also hear an acoustic in-studio performance by Mike and members of his current touring band.
Additionally, a special exclusive interview with Mike will air on Jam_On SIRIUS channel 17 on Friday, August 22 at 12:00 p.m. ET.
A rebroadcast of the special will air Saturday, August 30 at 12:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. ET.
On SIRIUS' Jam_ON listeners will hear live, improvisational music from artists like Phish, Dave Matthews Band, Widespread Panic, moe., Gov't Mule, The String Cheese Incident, Umphrey's McGee, The Allman Brothers Band, Tea Leaf Green, Keller Williams and many more.
