Tucked away in Google's hardware event today were several major announcements that will literally bring music to the ears of any audio or streaming fans.
Today Google announced:
Alongside a version 2 of its Chromecast dongle Google added Chromecast Audio (pictured right), a similar device that turns any speaker with an AUX out into an Internet-connected device thus allowing streaming.
Spotify is now available on both the Chromecast and Chromecast audio platforms.
A 6 person Google Play Music family plan for $14.99 per month. The plans will be available “later this year.” By contrast, $14.99 on Spotify would get you two users and 6 users would cost $34,99.
