St. Mark's Church In-The-Bowery Episcopal Church, Father Julio Torres, priest-in-charge, in collaboration with the Episcopal Diocese of New York, is pleased to present:

Good Friday Blues on Friday April 14, 2006, at 12:00 p.m.

This distinctive and unusual work tells the story of the Crucifixion by weaving traditional worship with contemporary music and theatre.

Bishop Catherine Roskam directs and narrates the piece conceived in collaboration with Ms. Jeannine Otis, director of Music at St. Marks. The Blues-based music is highlighted with an eclectic array of songs from various musical genres. The piece features the St. Marks Choir and many distinguished musicians and actors including Carol Maillard of Sweet Honey and the Rock, Tony Award Nominee, Larry Marshall, Stanley Banks, Bassist for George Benson, and Bernice Brooks, noted Drummer. Rob Schoenbohm is the technical director, and Jimmie Ponzi, guitarist the associate music director.

ALL ARE WELCOME!!!!! There is no admission. Donations are accepted.

St. Marks is located on East 10th St. between 2nd and 3rd Avenues.
