Five years after the first jazz record came out in 1917, a jazz band was reported raising the roof in Manila.
No surprise, then, that this year's internationally flavored Earshot Jazz Festival, which starts Sunday and runs through Nov. 7, features more than 50 artists from 10 different countries.
