George Duke & Stanley Clarke to have FirstEnergy Berks Jazz Fest Swinging

READING, PA -- The FirstEnergy Berks Jazz Fest, presented by the Berks Arts Council, has been graced over the years by the presence of multiple marquee performing artists who have created memorable and magical moments in the Reading and Berks County area.

The 13th edition of the FirstEnergy Berks Jazz Fest, which runs March 21-30, may have its grandest night of all in store on Saturday, March 29, at 7 p.m. at the Sovereign Performing Arts Center, 136 N. 6th Street in downtown Reading.

For that is when, in a remarkable co-bill, George Duke and Stanley Clarke, two giants of the music business, will be performing on the same stage on the same night. It does not get any better than that.

Duke and Clarke join a diverse and dazzling lineup of major artists in the 13th annual FirstEnergy Berks Jazz Fest.

The 10-day riff of music features more than 120 events at major venues, restaurants and clubs throughout Berks County and glitters with such stars as:

Poncho Sanchez & His Latin Jazz Band with the Reading Symphony Orchestra.
Chuck Mangione with the Reading Pops.
The Brian Bromberg Band
