The Air Department
Frigid Air, the latest aural excursion from world fusion adventurers The Air Department, may well be their most eloquent offering to date.

On this their third release, the strong jazz roots and world music sensibility of The Air Department have been blended exquisitely together. This collection of new music, and one reimagined piece from the archives, artfully mines the strengths of composer Roger Ebacher's deep affinity for the art of improvisation both on flute and piano, and the tasteful percussive poetry of drummer Dennis Pelletier.

As the title would seem to suggest, the feeling of Frigid Air is suited to that of the Winter Season, but is by no means necessarily a cold mood itself. The seductive warmth of Brasil is here, along with the contemplative cool air of Autumn, and the hypnotic mystique of the Orient. Once more, The Air Department beckons you to join them as they traverse musical territories both distant and familiar.
