I am very happy to announce that I will have two films screening at the 2005 Westwood International Film Festival which will run September 30 - October 14th at the Majestic Crest Theatre in Los Angeles.
The festival will host the world premiere of “The Cole Nobody Knows,” my recently completed documentary on musician Freddy Cole, the virtually unknown, yet equally talented younger brother of Nat “King” Cole. At age 73, with his current recording topping the jazz charts, Mr. Cole is finally being recognized for his amazing musical talent.
Photographed in Atlanta, New York City, Los Angeles, Switzerland & France, “The Cole Nobody Knows” features extraordinary, never-before-seen live performance material with Freddy Cole and his quartet. The film also includes interviews with music legends Monty Alexander, Clark Terry, David “Fathead” Newman, John di Martino, H Johnson, Carl Anthony and many others.

The festival will also screen my 1992 release Post No Bills," the award-winning documentary on legendary Los Angeles guerilla political poster artist Robbie Conal. Photographed in the grainy nighttime streets and in the well-lit galleries of Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York City, this film documents Conal's efforts through a variety of perspectives, including original material with gallery owners, city officials, LAPD Chief Daryl Gates, Tim Robbins, the Reagans, and even Oliver North. Featured in over 20 international film festivals and broadcast nationally on PBS, this provocative film is a must see for anyone interested in Conal's captivating work or political art.

Both of these projects have been enormous “labours of love” for me as I produced, directed, photographed & edited both of these films...
The Cole Nobody Knows" is screening on October 6th at 4:30 pm and Post No Bills" is set to screen on October 13th at 4:30 pm.
