The moodswing series is a monthly jazz-experimental concert featuring vocalist Fay Victor and her ensemble. Come down and check out music in which the singer becomes part of the band...and the band becomes part of the singer, streaming into one seamless integrated organism...with a restless nature.
Freddy's backroom is located at 485 Dean Street Brooklyn, NY 11215, that's the corner of Dean Street and 6th Avenue.
Trains? You can take the 2/3 to Bergen Street (Freddy's is around the corner) or take any train going to The Atlantic Avenue station (2,3,4,5,Q) or to Pacific Street (M,N,R,W). If you want more info, go to www.freddysbackroom.com.
Wolter Wierbos is considered one of the world's leading trombone players. He has performed throughout all of Europe and has toured throughout Canada, the USA, Japan, and Indonesia, and can also be heard on more than 70 recordings. He has played with Henry Threadgill, the European Big Band (led by Cecil Taylor), the John Carter Project, Butch Morris and Tom Cora. He is currently active with Misha Mengelberg's ICP, Gerry Hemingway Quintet, Curtis Clark Sextet, , Bik Bent Braam Quartet and Available Jelly.
