Executive Changes: Orchard, Blue Note, Sony, RIAA

The Orchard has named Peter McCarthy SVP of Marketing. McCarthy was formerly of Random House.

Producer and musician Don Was has been named Chief Creative Officer of EMI's Blue Note Records label.

The RIAA has named Cary Sherman its Chairman & CEO, effective September 1st as Mitch Bainwol exits. Sherman has served as RIAA President since 2001. Read Bainwol's farewell letter to the music industry here.
