Exclusive Universal Music Group Releases on "Record Store Day," April 18th

ON SATURDAY, APRIL 18, 2008, HUNDREDS OF INDEPENDENTLY-OWNED MUSIC STORES ACROSS THE COUNTRY WILL CELEBRATE “RECORD STORE DAY.”

On this day, all of these stores will simultaneously link and act as one with the purpose of celebrating the culture and unique place that they occupy both in their local communities and nationally.

This is the one day that all of the independently owned record stores come together with artists to celebrate the art of music. Several Universal Music Group artists and labels will be releasing special vinyl and CD releases and various promotional products exclusively for Record Store Day including The Killers, Def Jam 25, BB King, Queen, Sublime, Whiskeytown, and MANY MORE!

Festivities at the stores include performances, cook-outs, body painting, meet & greets with artists, parades, djs spinning records and on and on.
