All About Jazz Articles Don Joham Godspeed - You are Missed. I remember Don as a young fresh talent with a way about him that made you think he may have had another life.

Don left us December 15, 2004.

His daughter Tracey has posted here on AAJ looking for information on him and so everyone please go to your 50's 60's and 70's record collections and see if you might find any with Don Joham on them as a drummer.

I know he worked with Art Pepper and Bud Shank and played Lighthouse All Stars line up in the 50's and maybe the 60's, so it is the West Coast sound he is more likely to be featured in.

Tracey his daughter tells me, he had health problems and that is the reason he just vanished from the jazz scene. I almost knew it had to be something that devestating to remove him from the jazz world, as Jazz was his passion, and he was great. A wonderful, talented, jazz drummer.

A nicer man you will never know, and he will always have a place in my heart.

God speed Don, and my best wishes and condolences to your family __________________ Sandi from Hermosa Beach
