DJANGO D'OR award “BANDLEADER OF EXCELLENCE" 2004 goes to Erling Kroner and was made official on May 25th at the Copenhagen Jazz Festival press conference. Award to be presented to the recipient at the French Embassey in Copenhagen July 13-14th. Other recipients: Jazz legend John Tchicai and young bassist Jesper Bodilsen (actually a find of mine and the bass player of my Drem Quintet since 1996). The three recipients will perform together at the Award festivities on July 14th.
