According to impresario Todd Barkan, the new jazz venue, Dizzy's Club Coca Cola is scheduled to open at the Jazz at Lincoln Center complex on Gillespie's birthday, October 21, 2004. Barkan, who ran the highly successful Keystone Corner club in San Francisco, is excited about the prospect -- and so are we!

Named in honor of jazz legend John Birks “Dizzy" Gillespie, Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola will offer stunning views of Central Park and the Manhattan skyline and will be the most intimate of the three main performance spaces in Frederick P. Rose Hall, future home of Jazz at Lincoln Center. The 2,500 square-foot jazz club will offer a unique mix of educational programming in the daytime while converting to a performance venue every evening. Frederick P. Rose Hall is scheduled to open in fall 2004.
