Peter Krause (HBO's “Six Feet Under"), starring in ABC's “Dirty Sexy Money" this fall, has executive produced “The Tamela D'Amico Album." Mark your calendars for Tuesday, July 31, when Tamela D'Amico and Her Big Band will perform songs from her debut jazz CD release produced by Grammy winner Jimmy Hoyson and arranged by Grammy nominee Chris Walden.

D'Amico, like Michael Buble, is a throwback to another era. She burst onto the Los Angeles jazz scene, winning a Fabulous Finds vocal competition sponsored by Clear Channel's Fabulous 570.

“The Tamela D'Amico Album" showcases the multi-talented artist who released the recording through her production company La Strega Entertainment. Fresh off Steven Spielberg's reality series “On the Lot," Ms. D'Amico, an award-winning filmmaker, is developing several projects.

Whether she's acting, directing or singing, her talent has cast a spell on Hollywood. How appropriate -- “strega" means “sorceress" in Italian! Her sassy, sexy singing and style has led to several label talks. A decision will be made after her much anticipated CD release concert date at Catalina Bar & Grill in Hollywood. The label she chooses must reach a wide audience -- she plans to incorporate her music into her films.

D'Amico's rich and emotional colorings are full of depth and longing. The Tamela D'Amico Album is a cinematic look at love told in song. Chris Walden's lush arrangements bring beauty and pathos to such songs as the Beatles “And I Love Him," Barry Manilow's “When October Goes" and Sinatra's “One For My Baby." Each track expresses a unique point-of- view-a sincere outpouring of Ms. D'Amico's heart and soul -- both as an artist and a woman.
