2nd Annual Diet Coke Women In Jazz Festival

New York, NY--The world's largest women's jazz festival returns this September to Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola. The 2nd annual Diet Coke Women In Jazz Festival at Jazz at Lincoln Center (Broadway at 60th St., 5th Floor) takes place September 4-October 1. This exciting festival features the best female jazz vocalists and instrumentalists on the scene today. Reservations can be made at 212-258-9595 or via the Jazz at Lincoln Center web site.

Jazz singer Ann Hampton Callaway explains the importance of such a festival, “The Diet Coke Women in Jazz Festival puts a much needed spotlight on many of the formidable female artists who, regardless of their talents, still struggle to get equal time and respect in a male dominated field. I remember in college being annoyed by such festivals as I thought they were patronizing. Now I understand the value of this tradition and praise Jazz at Lincoln Center for acknowledging this unfortunate discrepancy and for celebrating the contributions being made by a growing number of unique and truly gifted women. It is an honor to participate again this September."

In association with NYC & Company, New York City's tourism marketing organization, the 2nd Annual Diet Coke Women In Jazz Festival will feature nightly performances by some of the most influential women in jazz today as well as up-and-coming jazz artists. Coca-Cola is committed to the encouragement and development of female jazz artists of the future.

Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola offers spectacular views and serves a jazz inspired menu seven days a week through the collaboration between Great Performances and Spoonbread culinary creators.
