This Saturday July 27, 2002 saxophonist Dave “Mahoney" Mullen and his band BUTTA will be performing LIVE at the IZZY BAR (166 1st Ave.) 'round midnight. Playing originals that are exploding with an array of musical flavors, being elevated by the artistry of the musicians themselves. BUTTA fuses jazz, funk, Irish, Latin and contemporary dance grooves creating a whole new vibe of its' own. The seasoned members of BUTTA are no strangers to the music scene having performed, recorded and/or toured with P-FUNK, BRAND NEW HEAVIES,ROY AYERS,D'ANGELO,KOOL AND THE GANG, INDIA ARIE, FAITH EVANS, GIL SCOTT HERON, BRIAN JACKSON, PHYLIS HYMAN and jazz greats KENNY GARRETT, ROBIN EUBANKS, JOHN HICKS and others.
