COMPTON, CA -- The City of Compton is the place to be on Saturday, August 18th, when some of the biggest names in the jazz community will converge on the city for the first ever Summer Jazz Jam, from 12 noon to 6 p.m., at the Compton Par Three Golf Course, 6400 East Compton Blvd.
Bring beach chairs and blankets and relax on the golf green and enjoy the music of James Ingram, Gerald Levert, Debra Laws, Eloise Laws, Hubert Laws, Ronnie Laws, Patrice Rushen, Ernie Andrews, Barbara Morrison, Linda Hopkins, Mello9 and Peggy Adams.
Tickets are $35 for general admission and $50 VIP. Proceeds will go to provide scholarships for deserving Compton students.
