I am so proud and happy about this project, which is a collaboration with my long-time jazz teacher, pianist Charles Sibirsky. It is testimony to our twenty years of work together and features four of Charles's original compositions, in addition to our much-beloved standards.
The intrepid Murray Wall, who supported me from my earliest gigs on, is on bass. John Merrill graces Charles's bossa nova, “Open Your Heart" with his guitar playing. Saxophonist Charley Krachy blows on the ballad he wrote, “Jazzman's Serenade". Andy Fite's fine work is represented by his tune “Among the Living"; and Dori Levine's apt lyrics are featured on Charlie Parker's “Now's the Time", re-titled as “Procrastination Blues".
As you know, I've been living the life of the self-supporting New York musician since last November, and I couldn't do it without your support. Thank you! Do come out and hear the music, make me happy when I see your smiling faces at our gigs
