LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Fanista.com, the first and only destination where people who are passionate about music, movies, video games and books can get rewarded for what they already do and champion what they love, today announced the release of an exclusive self-titled second album from musician Chris Stills.
With music running deep in Stills' family tree, the maturity and triumph of his new album comes as no surprise. While his father, Stephen Stills, is celebrated for his work with Buffalo Springfield and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, his mother Veronique Sanson is a Pop legend in France.
David Fricke of Rolling Stone praised Chris Stills' new album in their February 8 issue, stating: Chris Stills comes with an ambition and grace that run in his family." Performing Songwriter magazine noted that Stills sounds somewhat like Dad in reflective mode, but mostly the easy vibe suggests the younger Stills is basking in the bliss of contentment and contemplation."
Fanista.com, which publicly debuted in November 2007, is a community-powered marketplace for entertainment enthusiasts that offers a whole new way to discover and shop for music, movies, games and books. Chris Stills' album release marks the site's first exclusive music release, following on the footsteps of its first release, video game exclusive, Cyan Worlds' Cosmic Osmo's Hex Isle, in December 2007. Fanista.com now serves as the exclusive North American distributor of Chris Stills' new album.
Chris will tour to promote his new album from March 11, 2008 - March 24, 2008, playing in several cities across the United States, including Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Boston, Philadelphia and more. Tour dates are as follows:

Chris Stills' self-titled album first made a splash in Europe. Starting in France, the album was released all across Europe and in Canada soon after. Seeking to break out of his more classical folk-sounding '98 Atlantic Records debut, Stills enlisted the services of producer Hod David, drummer Matt Johnson (Jeff Buckley, Rufus Wainwright) and mixer Juan Patino (Lisa Loeb, Jewel).
It's taken some time, but I'm thrilled my new album is finally being released in the U.S.," says Stills. I am confident that hosting it exclusively on Fanista.com will help me reach true fans who are passionate about high-quality music."
On his new album, Stills showcases his musical heritage, singing two songs in French. He refers to the songs as experiments" that afforded him the opportunity to work with French songwriters whom he greatly admires. Demon" is a twisted love song penned by Philippe Dijian and Steven Eicher, while Kitty Kathy" (his favorite French track) enabled him to collaborate with one of his top songwriting idols, Jean-Louis Murat, whom Stills hails as the Neil Young of France."
