Chris Burnett Appointed as Jazz A&R for Digital Distribution Firm

Some AAJ readers may also recall the name Chris Burnett, from his “Musings in Cb" column here at All About Jazz. However, Chris Burnett is primarily a saxophonist, composer, arranger, and IAJE artist/clinician. A Kansas City-area native, he returned home to live in the metro (2001) and continues his active musical career at one of the most significant centers of jazz music history in the world. The Chris Burnett QUARTET has opened for jazz trumpet legend Maynard Ferguson since his return home, and the group is available for performances at select venues world-wide. Kansas City Jazz Master, Ahmad Alaadeen states: “Chris is truly an emerging performing and recording artist on the jazz music scene today. He is the total package, a mature musician, and definitely one to watch on alto sax!"

“I am a full-time active musician based in Kansas City and have also been successfully distributing my music online since 1999. I have finally found a digital distribution situation that actually produces sales and other real opportunities for Jazz Artists, while still allowing us to keep the rights to our own work," Chris says.
