If there is one really good reason to watch the Grammy telecast on February 8, it is to check out the highly unusual pairing of the legendary jazz pianist Chick Corea (on acoustic piano) with the modern rock act, The Foo Fighters.
Chick received not one but THREE Grammy nominations this year for the Super Audio 2-CD, Rendezous In New York. These three nods are the 46th, 47th and 48th of his career!
Rendezvous in New York was recorded during Chick's 60th birthday celebrations at the Blue Note and features a veritable who's who of jazz, from Gary Burton, John Patitucci and Dave Weckl to Josh Redman, Christian McBride and Terence Blanchard.
