The Brubeck Brothers Quartet will perform Tuesday, August 19 at 7:30 pm at the Otesaga Resort Hotel, 60 Lake Street, Cooperstown, NY as part of the Cooperstown Chamber Music Festival.

The Brubeck Brothers have performed at jazz festivals all over the country including Monterey, Detroit, Sedona, Ravinia and Las Vegas and the Jazz Times Jazz Cruise; with college big bands and conducted workshops and clinics at universities across the country. The BBQ has its own arrangements for not only big band, but symphony orchestras as well. In 2003, Chris was commissioned to write a piece that brought the jazz and classical chamber worlds together. The new work, “Vignettes for Nonet", for The BBQ and woodwind quintet was such a success that it subsequently has been performed with woodwind quintets from the St Paul Chamber Orchestra, the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Russian National Orchestra and at the Grand Teton Music Festival.

“I like to include a range of musical styles at the Festival," says founder and artistic director Linda Chesis. In addition to leading chamber musicians, the Cooperstown festival has featured jazz with the Trio da Paz, the Hank Jones Trio, Stefon Harris Quintet and Bill Charlap, bluegrass with Mark O'Connor's Appalachian Waltz, and cabaret with Amy Burton and John Musto.
