Bright Young Things - The Ultimate Jazz Party

Bright Young Things hit London by Storm.

Saturday 10th December 2005 will see the revival of the 1930s-1940s Jazz party. The legendary Marquee Club, renowned for the past performances of Jimi Hendrix and The Rolling Stones to name but a few, will host what looks to be one of the most inventive and exciting parties on the UK social scene. With a Black, White and Diamond dress code in place, the fashion industry are poised awaiting the exclusive clientele and catwalk designs the event is undoubtedly going to attract. The venue will be home to some remarkable and curious creations offered by some of the best up and coming creative designers the UK has to offer. No head will be able to be turned without being impressed by the attention to detail that has been applied. And with the expanding Blueprint Project, one of the UKs most talked about performing arts companies, guests will be greeted with a mixture of reality and fantasy as the boundaries of performance art and reality merge throughout the evening.

The Marquee Club, situated at No. 1 Leicester Sq, has three levels, all connected by both stairwells and elevators. The Swing Ballroom will be situated on Level 3. This 1930s inspired ballroom will host Blue Harlem, the ultimate swing band, accompanied by renowned dance company, Swingland, whom will be bringing both professional dancers and friends, dressed for the occasion in classic retro attire, to dance the night away to this fantastic band. Blue Harlem is a band not to be missed. They have remarkable originality and talent providing clients with a truly memorable musical extravaganza and have acquired invitations from the most outstanding of artists such as Ray Gelato's Giants and Eric Clapton.

The Room with a View will be situated on level 4 and will house the nights VIP guests whom will range from celebrity faces, industry professionals and UK creatives. Incorporated into the stunning balcony views of the entire Swing Ballroom will be a plush lounging area for those lucky enough to receive VIP invitations.

The Midnight Jazz Bar will be situated on the top floor, level 5. With its dcor suitably arranged for those that prefer a more relaxing, Ronnie Scott's style, atmosphere to appreciate their Jazz, the bar will offer the guests an opportunity to experience “one of the finest singers on the scene (Jazz FM) Sheena Davis. Sheena, herself a regular performer at Ronnie Scott's, has been reviewed as a “superb singer singing superb songs (BBC Radio 2) and has established herself as one of the most respected vocalists the UK has to offer. Following on from the success of The Sheena Davis Group's first two albums, and with two awards under her belt, Jazzizit Records has recently released ' Matchmaker', which is shaking the Jazz world by its ankles. Not only will Sheena's beautiful vocals be lighting up the sparkles in every guests eyes the bar will also offer panoramic views of Leicester Square to add to the magnificent ambience provided by some of the most beautiful sounds around.
