After a decade+ of top operation, and a dozen profound albums to prove it, we have here lucky album #13 from the David S. Ware Quartet. Following two very well-received and critically acclaimed albums for the Sony/Columbia Jazz label, ways were officially and mutually parted in January of this year. Wasting no time, AUM Fidelity brought Ware and his Quartet into the studio in February to make 'Corridors & Parallels'.

This album is a 'first' for Ware in a number of important ways; perhaps the most compelling is his incorporation of synthesizer into the sonic template. 'Corridors & Parallels' further expands a visionary group concept that has found the band consistently navigating the outer reaches of sound, and then bringing it all back home. This marks pianist Matthew Shipp's recorded debut on the instrument.
