The newly re-opened Bird and Beckett bookstore in San Francisco has always been a friend to the jazz community. The new location on 653 Chenery Street continues this tradition with weekly concerts every Friday from 5:30 until 8:00pm.
On June 8th poet Paula Hackett will read her tributes to many of the jazz legends she has come to know personally and through their music, while East Bay piano wizard Rudi Wongozi provides thoughtful improvisation. The two previously collaborated on a CD titled “Roulette".
