BEN HEPPNER HOSTS ON JAZZ.FM91
Toronto, Ontario (July 29th, 2010)--He's recognized worldwide as the finest dramatic tenor around today. Ben Heppner will bring those famous pipes to JAZZ.FM91, as host of his own radio show on Sunday, August 1st.
Heppner is one of more than 100 station supporters who donated to the station since the Fall of 2009 for the opportunity to host their own show on JAZZ.FM91. Host Your Own Radio Show participants select their favourite music, write their own material, and record their show with the help of a JAZZ.FM91 host of their choice. Four 30-minute shows are then aired Sunday nights between 10PM and midnight.
Heppner recorded his show with JAZZ.FM91 President and CEO Ross Porter. “Ben was a lot of fun to have in the studio," said Ross. “He's a natural, and I think our listeners will find his selection of music interesting and entertaining. We're looking forward to airing his show this Sunday."
Host Your Own Radio Show was introduced during the station's Fall 2009 Fundraising Campaign, with a limited number of shows made available. Due to popular demand, it is now a regular offering during the station's fundraising campaigns, and will be available again during the Fall 2010 Fundraising Campaign this coming November.
