BCS Bowl in 3D!

How much more thrilling will it be to watch Tim Tebow throw for 400 yards and rescue a puppy from a burning building when the action is 50-feet high?

Sure, it'll never replicate the testosterone or tailgating of a live game, but you can make tonight's BCS National Championship Game a larger-than-life experience at Grauman's Chinese Theatre, which will air the game in 3D on the big screen.

Watch the shootout between Heisman-winning quarterbacks as Sam Bradford and the Oklahoma Sooners try to crush Tebow and the Florida Gators. Will it be the expected showdown between Oklahoma's offense and Florida's defense? Or has the Sooners defensive line been underrated all along? At the very least, it's cheaper than a trip to Dolphin Stadium.

Beginning at 5 p.m., the Chinese will project the BCS game live and in 3D. It won't be the first time football has graced the theater's big screen. The Chinese recently hosted a limited-release, invitation-only screening of an NFL game between the Oakland Raiders and the San Diego Chargers.

In Southern California, you can also catch tonight's BCS game at the UltraStar Apple Valley 14 Cinemas in Apple Valley and at the Del Mar Highlands 8 in the San Diego area.

As for the Chinese, you'll have to sneak in your own beer, and try not to annoy your fellow spectators with the Swamp Chomp. Tickets cost $21 and are only available the theater's box office; no advance or phone sales. 3D glasses will be provided.

WHERE: Grauman's Chinese Theatre, 6925 Hollywood Blvd., L.A.
WHEN: 5 p.m., Wed. Jan. 7
COST: $21
