Baltimore (Maryland)Jazz Alliance and Baltimore Composers Forum have invited eight of their members to submit one composition each for a public showcase. On Sunday, October 23, 3 p.m., they'll be played by the Greg Thompkins Quintet at the Eubie Blake National Jazz Institute and Cultural Center, 847 N. Howard St. in Baltimore.
